Race Art Technology was founded in 2006 as a Motorsport Team, based in Balerna, Switzerland, in the Canton of Ticino. In a few years the company specializes his activities in the preparation of rally cars and so in rally races with very important programs linked to Skoda and Volkswagen car manufacturers, having received from the AMAG Group (the Swiss importer of the Volkswagen Group) the role of official “Skoda Swiss Motorsport” team, covered since 2013.
From Mitsubishi cars, leaders in rallies all over the world in the various Evo versions in the first decade of the 2000s, the Team shifts its focus to the Super 2000 rally cars and in particular to the award-winning Skoda Fabia S2000, a car made in only 70 units, and from 2015 on the R5 rally category (cars with a 1.6 turbo 4-cylinder engine with direct petrol injection), first with the Skoda Fabia R5, then with the Ford Fiesta R5 up to the Volkswagen Polo R5 in 2019.
With all these highly competitive and high-performance cars, the team participates in various championships throughout Europe, WRC, ERC, TER, Swiss Championship, Italian Asphalt and Gravel Championship in addition to the various local competitions and trophies, to also move on to participation in multiple races of the French Asphalt and Gravel Championship and the Greek Championship. Swiss, Italian, French, Greek, Russian drivers, etc. rely on the experience of the Team increased over the years, both in terms of technical and organizational/logistical skills, obtaining excellent results.
In 2018 the structure expands its range of action to circuit races with the participation in the “Nascar Whelen Euro Series” Championship, a European series that features Nascar cars, 400 hp racing cars derived from the Americans, which perform on the most important tracks in Europe (Valencia, Brands Hatch, Vallelunga, Zolder, Hockenheim, etc.) and also in some Ovals like Venray and Tours; a very exciting championship from a technical, competitive and media point of view.
So over the years, Race Art Technology also gains experience on the track, even offering technical and managerial support to other Teams, in addition to preparing its own cars. Both experienced drivers approach this series, and young people eager to gain experience and make themselves known in the Nascar race contest, dreaming of the United States and Daytona, and veteran drivers attracted by the brawl on the track; for example, in the 2021 season, the Team prepares the Nascar car for former F1 champion Jacques Villeneuve with big enthusiasm.
The 2022 sports season sees the Team, engaged both in rallies and on the track, achieving great results. In the rally field, with the “GR Yaris Rally Cup” championship, an Italian Trophy dedicated to the new GR Yaris 4×4 in racing version, success after success bring the conquest of the Drivers title. In the Nascar Whelen Euro Series Championship, however, the #18 car, with livery in the colors of the Swiss confederation, obtains the first place in the Junior Trophy in the PRO category, dedicated to professional drivers.
Hence the goal of continuing to operate jointly in both the rally and circuit races, always following the new industry trends to maximize the satisfaction of drivers, collaborators, customers and sponsors.
In parallel to Motorsport and Racing, in 2019 Race Art Technology decides to launch a new project: the Workshop / Garage “STOP+GO”, further strengthening the partnership with the AMAG Group (Swiss importer of the Volkswagen Group). The Swiss reality STOP+GO has around 300 workshops in Switzerland that operate in close collaboration and with the support of AMAG; a great opportunity especially for smaller workshops to intervene and repair vehicles of all brands with a high-quality standard. This thanks to the technical and logistical support of AMAG. The STOP+GO partners represent the ideal integration to the dealership workshops of the brands. Thanks to the experience gained with the brands of the Volkswagen Group and the constant training that keeps the know-how always at high levels, the STOP+GO workshops position themselves as specialists for the Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda brands. Original spare parts are used and all activities are carried out with the Group’s quality guarantee. Another advantage: being able to operate with a careful and expert eye on the cars of all other brands.
The company strategy therefore focuses on the growth and differentiation of activities, making the highly technical skills acquired in Motorsport available in Workshop activities, managing the road cars with care and the same competence, a sector certainly equally demanding, challenging and interesting.
