The sixteenth edition of the "Rallye du Chablais" scheduled on 30-31 May and 1 June is getting ready to take off in an international contest as it is valid for the Europa Rally Trophy - FIA ERT Alpine as well as for the Swiss Rally Championship modern and historical. The event preserves the characteristics that have made it a very successful over the years: conviviality, warm welcome by the crews in the main cities of the Chablais - Canton Vaudois and Valais.

The Race Art Technology / ŠKODA Swiss Motorsport Team will be at the start of this spectacular race with the 25-year-old Swiss driver Jérémie Toedtli, who returns to the wheel of the ŠKODA Fabia R5 - 2018 evolution of the official Swiss Team after a fabulous debut at the "Rallye du Valais 2016" in which the young man, on his debut on a four-wheel drive car, had achieved the third step of the podium after a competition conducted in an exemplary way. Alongside the notes, the French co-driver Alexandre Chioso.

A rather varied route, between lake and mountains, with postcard-like landscapes; a total of 534.95 kilometers, of which 176.42 timed, divided into 14 special stages, 7 different ones repeated twice, varying in length from 7 to 25 kilometers, insidious and demanding special stages between 400 and 1800 meters of altitude that will try both competitors and the technicians.

The center is the town of Aigle, not far from Lake Léman, where are located the headquarters, the start and finish of the race as well as the park assistance. The administrative and technical scrutineering will take place on Thursday 30 May as well as the fine-tuning of the car setup during the shakedown, while the race will officially start on Friday morning from 10.05 am with the exit from the assistance and three special stages repeated twice ("Col de Croix", "Tour d'Ai" and "Les Avants"), interspersed by the regrouping at the Casino of Montreaux and by assistance in Aigle. On Saturday morning, two more specials repeats ("Dent du Midi" and "Portes du Soleil") with a regrouping at Monthey and then assistance. After the midday break, the last two PS, always repeated ("Collonges" and "Bex-Lavey") with regrouping and technical assistance at a distance in St-Maurice. Arrival of the first car at 5.24 pm in Aigle with the crews on the podium located in the Glariers area.

So Jérémie Toedtli on the eve of the race: “I can't wait to race again with Race Art Technology. I have participated in my first race in R5 class with this team and we did a great result with a podium at the Rally Valais 2016. I hope that everything will work as in the past. For my part, I have been at a standstill for 8 months so we will have to do a smart race, increasing the rhythm gradually. The level is quite high this year with at least five drivers competing for the top places, the battle promises to be compelling and I hope I have the speed to be part of the leading group. It is a very nice rally with extremely different stages. The last time I participated in this competition in 2017 I wanted to overcome myself and I made a lot of mistakes that didn't allow me to arrive well in the final classification. So now I strongly want to come back on the Skoda already on Wednesday during our free practice session".
