The 16th edition of the "Rallye du Chablais", held on 30-31 May and 1 June on the spectacular roads of the Canton Vaudois and Valais, valid for the Europa Rally Trophy - FIA ERT Alpine and for the Swiss Rally Championship, saw at the 2nd place overall on the podium the crew of the 25-year-old Swiss driver Jérémie Toedtli with the French co-driver Alexandre Chioso on the ŠKODA Fabia R5 of the official Swiss Team Race Art Technology / ŠKODA Swiss Motorsport with the car #9.
An extraordinary competition impeccably managed from the beginning to the end, 14 insidious and demanding special stages, from 400 to 1800 meters of altitude, for a total of about 170 kilometers in which the competitors were strongly put to the test. The Toedtli - Chioso crew, albeit stop from eight months, was able to immediately find the right feeling with the car, making good times right from the first section, thus closing the first day already in second place, behind only the 2015-2016 Swiss Champion Sébastien Carron, behind all the contenders for the 2019 Championship. In the second day, the pace is even higher for the car # 9, which achieves the best time in 3 special stages, gradually increasing the gap from the pursuers.
The beautiful competition ends with Carron-Revaz on Polo R5 on the first step of the podium, leader during all the race, Toedtli - Chioso at 1.20'9’’ second overall, followed by Ballinari-Pianca current Swiss champions in charge at 1.30'1'' always on the Fabia R5, after Burri's unlucky stop on the last PS.
A great result even more deserved as achieved in a respectable parterre with twelve R5 class cars at the start, half Skoda Fabia R5.
